Dr. Chu has been serving the South Pasadena Community for over 36 years, and enjoys nothing more than coming in each day to help his clients and provide them with a service which enriches their lives and makes it easy to smile.

While his practice is the center of Dr. Chu’s life, he did not always know he wanted to be a dentist. Shortly before entering college, Dr. Chu was faced with a dilemma of what he was going to do with his life. He always had a passion for helping others, and knew he wanted to focus his energy and time in the medical field, where he felt he could do the most good for other people. The question became how he was going to do this, and what area he would focus on.

Dr. Chu had a personal fascination with teeth and oral health, and began looking into dentistry. Dr. Chu was an artist, who could visualize an image, and then sculpt or paint it with his hands, this is demonstrated through the results of his work today, and both of these skills proved to come in great use when he decided he wanted to go into the field of dentistry.

Dr. Chu went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University in 1971, with a Bachelors Degree in chemistry, and then went on to attend Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, for his dental education. Dr Chu graduated from Creighton in 1975 with High Honors. It was during his first year at Creighton when Dr. Chu confirmed that this was what he wanted to do with his life and has found true joy in the field of dentistry since the beginning.

After graduating, Dr. Chu decided to head west and came out to California to set up his practice. Dr Chu has been in the same office for almost 30 years and enjoys serving his community every day.

Dr. Chu had the drive, ambition and intelligence to succeed in whatever he invested himself into. When Dr. Chu decided to become a dentist he knew he would devote himself entirely to his profession and has been proving himself as South Pasadena’s best dentist since he began.
